GoldMoney offers storage at Zurich Airport

August 02, 2012

Starting from the beginning of July 2012, GoldMoney provides customers with the option to store gold in a vault at the Zurich Airport. The vault is operated by Rhenus Logistics.

The new storage facility complements the existing offering of GoldMoney, customers can also choose to store precious metals in vaults of Via Mat in London or Zurich or in a vault of G4S in Hong Kong.

The storage of gold at the Zurich Airport provides clients with the new feature to visit and view their gold bullion holdings. This option is only available for customers who own at least one full 400-ounce gold bar and have reserved it in their name.

However, it is important to note that Rhenus Logistics is not a member of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) and that so far no independent audits of the holdings at the Zurich Airport are carried out or published. Furthermore, Rhenus Logistics does not provide reports on holdings by GoldMoney customers.

The fees for storing gold in the vault at the Zurich Airport are equal to the fees at the other sites. More about the cost of gold and a comparison of vaulted gold offers.
